VERBI Quick mold change, according The International Standard Organization (ISO)
The structure
VERBI insert molds have a standard moldbase with the possibilities
to change the fixed as well as the moving half.
To perform a material test, you need a moldbase, an interchangeable mirror plate and a
product forming plate.
The fixed half is a mirrorplate with an option for temperature- and pressure control.
The moving half, you can slide a different product forming insert. These inserts are
designed at outer tolerances without shrinkage. Ejection of parts is according a standard
pattern and controlled by one central ejector pin.

The mold-base
The mold-base is made out of standard HASCO parts (steel 1.1730) and has standard
dimensions of 296 *246 *262 min (80 kg).
With these dimensions there is the possibility to use also oversized inserts of 296*100
mm. If the 262 min mold-height does not fit a certain machine, then there is the
possibility to have this modified . The mold-base is centered by 4 guide pins and also the
ejector plates are guided.
Cooling tube connections, locating ring and mounting requirements are according customer
request.
Inserts
Inserts for the fixed and moving half can be made. These inserts are as a standard made
of standard stainless tool steel (Stavax*) and hardened to 50-52 Rc dimensions are
196*100*38 mm (5.5 kg).
As an option we deliver inserts of different steel quality and hardness .

Mirror-plates
| Standard high polished surface (ISO1302,N1) with no
additional measurement possibilities. This can also be modified for a temperature or pressure sensor (Kistler 6157 BA 0.4) Radius of sprue bushing is R 35 as standard. |

Non ISO inserts
Apart from the standard ISO inserts Verbi also produces non ISO inserts.
| Inserts according to ASTM. Inserts according to customer specification. |
Some examples are burn bars, spiral flow , step chips and disks.
Grain and texture are customer specified. Almost every insert lay out can be made as long
as it fits in the mold-base, and the ejection length is not more than 10 mm.
